Fear is the opposite of Faith, not unbelief which is less faith

Faith is the assurance of things hoped for (Heb 11:1). So then fear is the assurance of things dreaded for.

Faith is the assured conviction of the unseen we hope for, fear is the assured conviction of the unseen we dread for. Faith is borne out of our dependence in God’s faithfulness. Fear is borne out of our dependence in Satan’s unfaithfulness.

Faith takes you beyond the visible, while fear traps you within the visible. Faith propels you into the unknown, while fear fills you with fear for the unknown.

Faith pulls you out of the cage of circumstances; fear keeps you bound. Faith emerges from the ashes; fear burns and bleeds in the ashes.

Faith builds imagination, fear kills it. Faith is faithful, fear is fearful. Faith drives you into your future, fear holds you in the past. Faith creates the future, fear destroys it.

Faith releases, fear restricts. Faith set you free into the freedom in Christ, but fear sets you into slavery to satan. Faith is God-confidence, fear is flesh-confidence. Faith receives God’s blessings, fear blocks it.

Faith flourishes in the Kingdom of God, fear languishes in a fallen world. Faith is of the Spirit, fear is of the flesh. Faith brings healing, fear brings suffering. Faith promotes, fear demotes.

If so, how do we build faith?

Jesus said, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you (Math 17:20). Please observe, Jesus did not demand a mountain like faith to move mountains. Start with the mustard seed faith you have. Apply them into your situation be it sickness, relationship, finance, debt, or injustice. Meditate on the Word that applies to your situation. Decree them over your situation till you get results.

Make it a habit of applying your mustard seed faith in all the challenging situations of your life. Nurture the seed with the Word. Water them with your confessions. The seed would grow and flourish. Your faith would deliver, bring healing, set you free from bad habits, release you into his glorious freedom, build you future and secure God’s blessing.

With faith in Jesus, victory is yours.
